VPN on Android: how to set it up
We do not have our own app yet, and we will not pretend otherwise. On Android the connection works through free clients that speak our protocols: the configuration copies out of your account with one button.
Which apps will do
Android offers a wider choice than any other system: Karing, Hiddify, NekoBox and v2rayNG all speak our protocols and are free. We do not develop them and get nothing from them — take whichever suits you.
Which protocol to pick on a phone
Hysteria2. It runs over QUIC and takes packet loss more calmly than the rest, and on a mobile network loss is constant: a lift, a metro tunnel, the edge of a cell, a handover between towers. VLESS Reality is no slower on a stable link, but on a poor one it fails at the handshake far more often.
How to check it works
Open any site that shows your IP address. It should match the country of the server you picked; if the address is unchanged, the tunnel did not come up — and the app shows that in its connection status.
Common questions
- Do I need root?
- No. All the apps listed run on ordinary Android and use the system VPN interface — the system asks for permission once, on the first connection.
- Do a phone and a tablet count as two devices?
- Yes. Personal plans run five devices at a time, and you can swap them freely: disconnecting one frees a slot.
