VPN for iPhone: the Veyl app

The fastest node, picked for you
Before connecting, the app pings nodes straight from your phone and picks the fastest one. You can still pick a country yourself.
A kill switch for when things drop
Turn it on in settings, and if the tunnel falls over, your iPhone keeps traffic in until the connection is back. Without it you would never notice: everything loads, just from your real address.
Russian services go direct
Banks, government services and marketplaces dislike foreign addresses: captchas, refused logins. You can send them direct, from your usual address — tick the groups you want in your account on the website.
Fewer ads and trackers
A built-in filter blocks banners and trackers. It will not remove ads inside YouTube: those come from the same address as the video itself.
DNS goes through the tunnel too
DNS lookups do not go to your carrier — they travel inside the tunnel. Want your own resolver? Enter its address; DNS over TLS and DNS over HTTPS work too.
Tells you when the connection drops
Connection lost or back — Veyl lets you know with a notification. No guessing whether traffic is going through the tunnel right now.
Common questions
- When will the app be in the App Store?
- The build is being prepared for release. As soon as Apple publishes it, the button on this page comes alive. Meanwhile you can create a Veyl account on the website and use it on Android, Windows and Mac — your iPhone will pick it up with the same sign-in.
- My iPhone asks to allow “VPN configurations”. Is that expected?
- Yes, it is a system prompt: no VPN app can raise a tunnel without it. Tap Allow and confirm with your passcode or Face ID — once.
- Will it run on my iPhone?
- You need iOS 17 or later — that is iPhone XS, XR and everything released after them.
- Can I keep a single app outside the VPN?
- Not per app: iOS does not let VPN apps split traffic that way. You can send whole groups of Russian services direct instead — banks, government services, marketplaces. They are chosen in your account.
- Does it drain the battery?
- A tunnel is a connection that stays open, so it is never entirely free. It shows most on a poor signal; on decent Wi-Fi the difference over a day gets lost among everything else.
- How many devices does one account cover?
- Five at a time, in any mix: iPhone, an Android phone, a Mac, a Windows PC. You can unlink a device right in the app, under Account → Devices.
- Which protocols are inside?
- Hysteria2, VLESS Reality and NaiveProxy. You do not need to know them — the app picks for you. If you are curious: Hysteria2 is faster on mobile data, and Reality gets through better where VPNs are blocked.
