VPN on Windows: how to set it up

On Windows the connection works through free clients that speak our protocols. We do not have our own app yet — the configuration copies out of your account with one button.

Which apps will do

Hiddify and Karing speak all three of our protocols and install with an ordinary installer. NaiveProxy also has a separate command-line client, useful where you need that protocol specifically and do not need an interface.

Which protocol to pick on a computer

On a wired connection the difference between Hysteria2 and VLESS Reality is barely noticeable — take either. Reality earns its place where traffic is inspected: the connection looks like an ordinary request to an unrelated site. NaiveProxy stays the fallback: slower than the other two, but harder to spot.

Keeping some apps out of the tunnel

Some programs are better left outside — a banking app, for instance, which tends to be suspicious of a changed address. The clients can split traffic per app, and that is configured in them rather than with us.

FAQ

Common questions

Do I need administrator rights?
Yes, to install: the client brings up a network adapter, and that requires rights. Later launches do not.
Does it work on Windows 10?
Yes. The clients listed support both Windows 10 and Windows 11.
